When you want to eat healthy or in a diet, you badly want to eat burger I’m kind of burger crazy..!!
But healthy burger??!! How is that possible?? Then I decided to make one !
But I want to try healthy as well as a tasty burger! Then I made this mixed veggie burger patties! It’s not only my favorite My son AR and RS favorite too.. 🙂 If your family love it! Then definitely we should make it frequently!
To make it simple and easy, it is freezer friendly patties! Good news right?!

Let’s we move to the yummy veggie patties!! 😋😊😇
Makes : 6 – 7 medium size patties
Carrot – 1 Large
sweet potato – 1 medium/ big size
Beetroot – 1 medium/big size
Fresh or frozen corn – 1/2 cup
Capsicum/Bell pepper – 1/4 or 1/2 cup chopped finely
Green beans – 1/4 or 1/2 cup finely chopped
Red or yellow onion – 1/2 cup finely chopped
Whole wheat bread/ White bread/ Bread crumbs / Oats – 3 slice or 1 cup oats
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tablespoon or 2 tablespoon
Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon or as per taste, Instead of red chilli powder you can use paprika/ Taco seasoning/ chicken masala powder.
Garam masala powder – 1 teaspoon or as per taste
Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon or as per taste
Cumin powder – 1 teaspoon or as per taste
Coriander leaves – 2 tablespoon
Olive oil/ Vegetable oil/ Oil spray – as needed
Green peas – 1/2 cup
Potato – 1 large
Spring onion – Instead of red or yellow onion
Take beetroot, carrot, sweet potato or white potato, green beans in a pressure cooker, cook for 2- 3 whistle then let pressure release by itself. If you don’t have pressure cooker just steam the vegetables until soft or cook it in the microwave! We want the vegetables should be soft so that it will be easy for us to mash with masher.
Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion and saute for 1 min.
Then add ginger garlic paste saute until raw smell goes.
Add chopped capsicum, corn, green beans or add whatever the vegetables you want to use.
Then add the cooked mashed vegetables. You can mash the veggies with masher/hand/ processor. Don’t make it mushy. Just crush everything.
Then mix everything well in low flame for 1 – 2 mins and don’t let it stick to the bottom.
Add spice powders – Chilli powder, Coriander powder, Garam masala, cumin powder or whatever spice powders you want to add as per your taste.
Mix everything well don’t add any water!! keep it dry and mix. Add salt and taste.
Finally add chopped coriander leaves/ Parsley/ Mint leaves.
Mix again and let it cool. The masala can also be kept in refrigerator until used.
Then transfer the masala into a bowl. And add bread crumbs ( This time I used bread crumbs to give it a perfect shape we can also use bread slices! Just dip the bread slices in warm water and squeeze the bread there should be any wetness in the bread and shread with your hand and add it into the masala and mix, You can get a perfect shape patties when you use bread slices!)
Along with coriander leaves, add bread crumbs until the masala hold the shape.
Form into small/medium size patties.
The patties can be baked or toast. For baking, preheat the oven 400° F and bake for 15 mins (Inc or reduce the time as per your oven setting) And broil it for 1-2 mins.
For toasting in the pan, Spray oil on the pan and cook until you see the brown spots on the patties.
Let it cool completely. Then arrange patties between wax paper or parchment paper. Store it in the ziplock bags and mention the date and freeze 🙂
Patties can be stored in the freeze for 3 months. You can also wrap each patties in parchment/wax paper and freeze.
I have tried both way of storing, both works great!
When I made this I don’t have lettuce or anything so simply placed in between the thin burger. It tasted heavenly! 🙂
