Quinoa Shrimp/prawn stir fry – Super Quick Recipe

Today, I’m going to post one of the best and quick QUINOA PRAWN STIR FRY. As you all know I’m a big fan of shrimp, I want to try many recipes with shrimp.

This stir fry can be made just like that because, it uses very basic vegetables. Add whatever vegetables you want to eat. And for a twist and taste I added some cottage cheese. It is totally optional but I’m sure you will love it πŸ™‚ πŸ˜‰

Let’s move on to the recipe…



I used frozen shrimp, You could use fresh one.

Adding cottage cheese/Paneer is optional.

Instead of plain quinoa I used tri-colorΒ  quinoa πŸ™‚

Serve : 1


Shrimp/Prawn – 6 – 5 no

Onion – chopped

Carrot – chopped

Capsicum – Color of your choice, I used green

Corn – Frozen or fresh

Spinach – 1/2 cup

Cottage cheese/ Paneer – 1-2 tablespoon

Garlic – 1 pod

Tomato – chopped

Quinoa – Cooked 2 tablespoon or more

Salt – as per taste

Pepper – as per taste

Oil / Butter / Spray Oil

Coriander leaves – For garnish

Optional Ingredients:

Chilli powder / Paprika / Any spice powder

Green beans

Green peas


Cooked chopped potato


Prepare all your ingredients. Cook the quinoa as per the instruction and keep aside. Chop all your veggies and keep aside.



Heat oil in a wok/Pan. Add chopped onion along with garlic saute until garlic turns light brown.


Then add chopped capsicum and saute. Don’t overcook the vegetables try to keep the crunchiness of the veggies.


Now add chopped carrot, corn, green beans and peas(If using). You can also add roasted vegetables. saute until you see the brown spot on the vegetables.


Time to add cottage cheese/paneer If using.


Adding tomatoes will give you soft and tangy taste to the recipe. So, I would suggest to add some tomatoes or puree.


It’s time to add shrimp/prawn along with salt, pepper and chilli powder(If using).


Mix everything well and sprinkle some water(very little) and cover cook.


Once the veggies and shrimp cooked for 1-2 minutes add the baby spinach and mix it for few seconds.


Now add the cooked quinoa and taste for salt.


Very tasty and quick dinner/lunch is ready πŸ™‚ Garnish with coriander leaves.
