We love Cauliflower!! I always have cauliflower at my home! I love to buy fresh cauliflower and make many varieties of recipes. We love to eat cauliflower masala, cauliflower kurma, cauliflower pakoda..
But I want to try something new and tasty and of course healthy..
So tried this cauliflower steak!! Oh my god! How can I explain this tasty cauliflower! Cauliflower haters will also eat this steak..
It’s super easy to make.. Basic spice powder is enough for this recipe..
Try it and let me know!!
Cauliflower – half head (I used 3 slices of cauliflower)
Salt – to taste
Pepper – to taste
Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Chilli powder – 1 teaspoon or lesser
Corinader powder – 1 teaspoon or lesser
Cumin powder – sprinkle a little
Olive oil/Melted butter/Spray oil
Coriander leaves/Parsley – finely chopped
Greek yogurt – for serving
Cut the cauliflower in the center and keep aside the half head. Cut the other half into 3 thick slices like in the picture. Preheat the oven for 400ºF
Spray oil or brush olive oil/ Melted butter on both sides.
Start by sprinkling salt and pepper as per your taste. You can also skip using pepper as we are going to use chilli powder.
Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder on both sides.
You can also first sprinkle all the spices then finally you can rub on both sides. Sprinkle chilli powder I used kashmir chilli powder it has less spice and beautiful color.
Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of coriander powder and some cumin powder.
We have used all the spice powders. Now it’s time to rub!! Rub the powders on both sides and taste for salt.
Sprinkle some finely chopped coriander leaves.
Prepare the baking tray by spraying some oil and place the marinated cauliflower on it.
Bake it for 10 minutes on one side.
Flip the cauliflower steak and bake it for another 10 minutes. Keep an eye on the oven we don’t want to burn the steaks.
Beautiful and tempting cauliflower steak is ready. Before serving you can broil it for 2-3 minutes for a crispy cauliflower steak.
You can eat this steak along with some dip. I served it over the rice and Spinach dal.
Happy Cooking 🙂
