Green peas gravy!

This super easy green peas gravy is perfect combo with pulao/briyani/roti/naan/dosa/idli.

Ingredients:

Oil

Onion – 1 medium finely chopped

Tomato – 1 or 2 medium finely chopped, Tomato paste can also be used.

Fennel seeds – 1 teaspoon

Ginger garlic paste – 1 teaspoon

Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon

Chilli powder – 1 teaspoon

Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon

Garam masala – 1 teaspoon or lesser

Cumin powder – 1/4 teaspoon

Fresh or frozen peas – 1 cup

Milk/Fresh cream/cashew paste/Coconut paste – 2 tablespoon

Coriander leaves – for garnish

Method:

Chop onion and tomato keep aside.IMG_2512.JPG

Heat kadai/pan add oil, fennel seeds and let it crackle.IMG_2517

Then add onion and saute until brown.IMG_2519.jpg

Add ginger garlic paste let the raw smell leaves. Added some green chilli for the spicy.IMG_2521.jpg

Then add tomato along with some salt and saute until mushy.IMG_2523.jpg

Time to add masala powders, add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and garam masala powder mix everything well and let it cook for few minutes.IMG_2530.jpg

After the raw smell of the powders leaves add green peas and mix well. Add required water and let it boil. IMG_2532.jpgIMG_2531.jpg

Lastly add some milk / fresh cream /coconut paste / coconut milk/ cashew paste and give a mix. This can be added just to give rich taste to the gravy.IMG_2535.jpgIMG_2534.jpg

Finally garnish with coriander leaves. And serve along with super quick veg briyani IMG_2537.jpg
